Apple Cider Vinegar-Blood Sugar Control

 Apple Cider Vinegar-Blood Sugar Control

Apple cider vinegar is a type of vinegar made from fermented apple cider and has a medium amber color. It is used for salad dressing, food preservation and for medicinal value.

Blood sugar control is the management of normal sugar levels which are recommended for normal functioning of the body and are measured before meals and after meals so as to find out if the blood sugar is normal.

A person found to have either low blood sugar or high blood sugar is rendered to be diabetic and have a disease known as diabetes.

The medicinal value of this vinegar has been researched by various institutions of learning so as to determine each and every way it can be used to protect people from various ailments.

From their research we find that it can be used for weight loss, alleviating cold symptoms and diabetes management.

Vinegar has been advocated to have the capacity to fight diabetes and has been characterized as the most successful remedy for curing Type 2 diabetes.

This Type 2 diabetes is the most common form of diabetes where the body does not use the insulin properly which leads resistance of insulin making the pancreas work extra hard to produce more insulin to compensate the mismanagement but over a period of time, the strain on the pancreas becomes too much that it cannot be able to keep up with the production so as to normalize the sugar levels.

People with this disease are given insulin by they are sometimes resistant it causing other effects in the body.

Apple cider vinegar is recommended to a patient who has diabetes because it was found that it was the healthiest and most effective method of improving insulin sensitivity during a high carbohydrate meal where it can reduce the sugar by approximately 19% to 34% and bring about insulin response in the body.

It reduces 34% of sugar while eating 50 grams of starch while 2 tablespoons of the same taken before bed time is known to reduce blood sugar levels by four percent by morning.

This is an awesome and simple chemical that reduces postprandial sugar significantly and it is among the cheapest medicinal chemical. This brings me to the question why this cheap medicine that has been tested is not being prescribed for diabetes patients. Maybe the researchers are yet to market it to physicians and medical practitioners.

Vinegar can be to all people those with diabetes and those without but would want to keep their sugar levels at normal levels. Those already under medication should ensure to seek the doctor’s advice before making any changes.

In the old days our ancestors used it for almost every meal was like a triggering mechanism to the pancreas to produce insulin and not to deny but nowadays we take in refined foods that have high sugar content but unlike the old days when vinegar was used as a signal, our bodies don’t recognize the food leading to resistance of production of insulin.

If only we could turn back to apple cider vinegar!!
